Guitar Hero guitar inserted into a 360 controller.

Post by Cojo »

been a handicap gamer and a GH and Rock Band fan is not very compatible. I really miss the times when you can play GH with a controller, now is all peripherals. The problem is i cant hold the guitar hero guitar, so is impossible to me play the latest music games. but i can hold a 360 controller and play the older ones, like GH 2 and GH3. Last year i send some mails to EA and Harmonix to ask if they could do some DLC to let handicapped people to play with controllers, but i got no answer.
so... a few months ago i bought a x-plorer wired guitar and found a empty shell of a wired 360 controller, my idea is insert the guitar guts inside the controller, and use the controller buttons as the fret buttons and the left stick as a strum bar.
the idea (in theory) is simple, the problem is: i dont know how to start, im a newbie in the modding scene, i just got the idea but dont know how to execute it. a tip or two will be appreciated. thanks

ps: english is not my first lang. sorry

Perhaps somebody here could make you a one-handed guitar. (I could, but it may not be incredibly cheap.)

Which hand is impaired? If you mail me a guitar, I'd be happy to toy around with it and see what could be done. I could put a button on the back of the neck to act as strum, do a footpetal design like ben's, or chop up the IC and rewire it in a 360 controller, depending on what you prefer.

PM me. :)
Cheers,
