DPST or DPDT switches?

DPST or DPDT switches?

So I need to close 2 circuits simultaneously, just momentary. I'd normally use a DPST switch but I can't find one that will fit the size I need (basically need a tact). But I can find DPDT switches. I should be able to use one of those right? Just don't connect the first set of pins and when I press it, it should close the second right?

DPDT will just give you an option of having it normally-open or normally-closed. You are correct in assuming that you just don't connect the set of pins that are unneeded.
