Screen won't start

Ok I got my screen today, I de-soldered the components from the small board in the base where the A/V connects (just the A/V) and wired it to my PSMobo. The only thing I did to my screen besides unplug the wires from the botom is unplug the ribbon cable from the back of the screen. I used to be able to see the volume and contrast on the screen before I took it apart but now even those don't show up. The only thing I can think of is I blew a feuse somehow even tho when I was soldering the small board it wasn't anywhere near the screen. I could really use some help and if I can't get the screen working the way I have it set up is there some way to set it up so I didn't just trash a $50 screen.

Ok I know that the screen has power, it gose from a deep green when theres no power to pure black when there is power, still can't see the volume or contrast, I cheaked the ribbon cable and it looks secure. Still no ideas yet.

Yay it worked... now the screen only lights up when its not pluged in and it hisses... and its green, out of the melting pot and into the fire as they say...

Well I woke up today and decided to try and see what I can do to fix my problem with my screen. I figured out the hissing is most likely from the backlight because it stops hissing whenever I remove presure from the back of the box (havn't had a chance to do a LED mod yet). My second problem is that when looking down on the screen the center of the screen looks black...ish and the rest looks green, I have no idea how this is hapening but it might be the backlight... no idea really. Third problem is when I plug the power thingy into the back of the PSOne and the wall my screen gose black and turns off. I havn't done any tests from my power pack yet this is all still strait out of the wall. Any help would be greatly apreteated.

Sorry to revive this thread but I fixed my problem.

Turns out I just had too many wires soldered together... I used the wires from MR.MOD's diagram for RGB and it looks to be working out great. A few more days and some white LED's and my portible PSOne shall be finished.
