Computer doesnt detect Screen
Does anyone know how the hell to get the PC to detect a PSOne LCD? I did the RGB Mod to a PSOne screen, but the computer wont see it. I have one of two ideas on how to do this. Either add a 75ohm load across the RGB lines (or is it the monitor ID pins?). Or diddle with the Monitor ID Pins. Since i dont know WTF I am doing, or what to google for, Im stuck having to switch between CRT and LCD.

I built a custom cable for my screen only using 5 pins. Red, Green Blue, C-Sync, and ground. I hooked that cale into a standard monitor and the computer detected it. The "digital" stuff on the momitor didnt work (Power Mangement, DDC, supported resoloutions ect...). Besides having no special features, the monitor worked just fine.
After doing some testing on my own, I came to the conclusion that the computer expects at least a 75 Ohm load on the RGB and respective ground pins. If you pop 3 75 Ohm resistors the VGA port RGB lines, the computer thinks a monitor is there.

if your connecting a psone screen through what would be the psone multie out there is a sertan pin that requires 5 volts in for it to work are you applying 5 volts to this place?
or in outher words did you do this


basicley I belive they did this to prevent the passthrough on the screen from working both ways so normal poeple must buy there cable to play outher stuff on the screen

My screen doesnt need that mod. My probelm is the computer wont detect it unless there is a 75 ohm load across the RGB lines and ground. If i have the 75 ohm load, the image is too dark to be useable... Im damned if I do, and damned if I dont.
EDIT: I have diddle'd with power strip and its STILL way too dark to be useable.

If i do the brightness mod the Composite will be too bright. Im not using this screen for one specific project. I rebuilt it to be very modular. In my opinion, I think it would just be easier to build a small 3PST switch in line with the RGB and 75 ohm resistors so i can just turn them on and off when i need to.
