LCD screen with auxiliary inputs

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

LCD screen with auxiliary inputs

Post by dashthehero »

are there such things as LCD screens with auxiliary inputs at Radioshack or an electronics place or something? I hope so because if there is it'll make my project a little bit easier.

You mean RCA inputs?

Most of the ones I saw (except the cheapest of the cheap) have RCA jacks.

I think he means the third 'auxilary' plug. You know, a TV will have three, but a VCR only has 2, he wants that third one.

RPGTKNick, actually, but you almost had it.

I don't know why you need RCA inputs, but for the system, just hardwire the A/V, and if you want to use external A/V sources, buy some inputs and solder them yourself.

i think he doesnt want to bother withsoldering the A.V. lines so he can just do what RPGTKNick did and just plug it in forever in a slight5ly bigger portable

yeah, that's what im doin. when i take the board out of the system, im gonna hook the board up to the screen with the inputs, instead of soldering it. it makes it a little bit easier, but i still need to hook up everything else. oh, is there also an easier way to wire everything? not that im lazy, but i just dont get the other way. the way nos_slived showed me on his diagram. i cant find the PSU on the board. i dont really know what it looks like.
