Since I'm planning on keeping the ext. power cord for the n64, I was wondering if it was a way to power the screen without needing to run it on a second power cord sort of. What I thought of was hooking the screen to the 12v line from the nintendo. The screen reads 9V+ so I felt a bit uncertain about connecting it, but eventually I tried.. (the screen started up when I connected +, and the ground wasn't even connected, how the fk did that happen?) Anyways, the external power "box" started making a sound, not that very loud, but still quite loud and scary-sounding so I disconnected the screen and decided to ask here if anyone knows if it will work or if the power adapter would explode or melt a hole troughmy floor, to quote Ben
