Rudimentary Qs from a prospective arcade stick modder

I've got a Hori HRAP that works with my xbox360. I don't currently play any fighting games on it and really want to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom for the Wii. Instead of buying another arcade stick for the Wii, I am doing a brief investigation into the possibility of adapting what I have to this specific purpose.

I have a Thrustmaster wireless wii classic controller that i'm willing to destroy.

I don't want to solder, as I wish to be able to repurpose the stick back to an xbox360 stick at will. Is it possible to just use electric tape to press one end of some wire to the arcade stick button contacts, and the other end to the classic controller button contacts? Or is soldering absolutely necessary for the current to flow properly?

Soldering would ensure that you have proper contact and you don't lose connection when mashing buttons


I don't have a HRAP but by the looks of images on the net you could embed the guts of a wii classic controller into it, the problem is switching it between x360 and wii modes, I would suggest just building your own arcade stick using parts bought from arcade suppliers and wiring them to the classic controller

Just thought, you could embed the wii controller(it would only work while plug into a wiimote) and use diodes between the wii classic controller and the buttons(so when using it on xbox you don't blow anything on the classic controller.)

this way you don't need to worry about switching(just only have it plugged into one system at a time xD)
