everyone thanks for your help, found a lot of helpful information here to make this. Here are some pics. Everything fully functioning except for Left and RIght buttons which i still need to add.
I have been looking for a better way to close the top case. Hoping someone can suggest a better method.
Currently using screw post recycled from the controller which is ok. Seen things called tee-nuts- anyone tried these.
Not trully a portable yet as i need to add a battery. However i found it best to make a separate battery pack which will screw onto the bottom of the ps2.

Yes it is abit big however i wanted to keep all function of the ps2 if i wanted to hook up to a tv. Additional controllers work and i have both dvd playback and games.

I really like the speaker placement. I wish I was creative enough to make decent cases....I just use Polycase
