Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Starting a new portable N64

Post by iNerd »

I want to make a portable, and I want to start with the Nintendo 64. I have most of the parts and I want people to check if I have all of the parts and tell what I can do to make it good. If possible, also tell me any really good guides

Nintendo 64+Controller
Gamebit screwdriver
Soldering Iron
A portable TV
PS1 screen (backup screen)
Wire
Casing

I did not include battery because I want to ask what is the best or easiest to obtain.

First of all.... good luck :)
The N64 portable is fun to make but can be quite a challenge.

For battery information see here under the 7.4v section :

They have batteries that work , but they will be bigger, heavier , less amperage and more expensive per mAh than what I linked to.

Would some simple rechargeable AA batteries work? And are there any ways to do it without a voltage regulator?
