Hey General, how's your N64 going? I remember you posting on my thread a while ago saying you 'd probably have it done that night. I see that's not the case Do you have any pics?

well i was pretty close to finishing but then when i went to fit everything in i realized it would be impossible and also i had some controller issues... so i have been doing some case redesigning and i have my controller all wired up the only things i really have to do are, get foam for the buttons, make a hole in the case for the dc socket, make two more holes for the switches that i'm using(1st player/internal controller and on/off). otherwise everything else is good. if you want i could post some pics of my progress.

when i was asking about the av, my picture was blury so i had thought i missed a wire but it was just my battery...

oh and the diagram of the controller internal to first player switch might have been wrong because i found another that had the opposite with 3.3v line on the other side. they can't both work so do you know which one is right?

On the back of the screen board there are solder pads for voltage/ground/video/audio l, r. There are also three other solder pads called hp l, hbps, and hp r if you are not going to have a headphone jack, just bridge these three solder pads and it tells the system that their arent any headphones inserted and it feeds the audio to the built in speakers.

I wouldn't suggest using these. They rip off very easily. Go to the screen section of this forum and check out the ps1 screen sticky about cutting the board. I would suggest wiring where it says to wire it all up and gluing it over.

hey guys, on thursday i got everything together in the case and it was fully functional for about forty-five minutes. then the screen started phasing out and having grey lines across the screen. my first instinct was low battery, so i charged it up but still the same problem. so i thought that maybe i would work some more the next day and sleep on this issue. the next day the screen was completely black except then i realized mario was there but very dark. i opened it up the battery read around 6.9v when i plug it in its 7.5v i check each set of 3.75v one read the correct amount and the other read something in the twos... it might be the screen but might be one of the cells anyone have the same prob? help..

Sounds like a bad cell. I've had this happen a few times. Might have been from soldering iron heat in my case (but I'll never admit it )

Ive had the same problem too but once I switched to my batteryspace setup i had no problems
