PTH08000 regulator
I got my PTH08000 regulator and wired it up to a 100uf capacitor and a 2.2k resistor. that was only giving me 3.0v so I tried adding a 10k resistor to it to make the resistance 1.8 (datasheet says 1.87 will make 3.3v) but I'm only getting 3.1v so I tried putting on a 100k resistor as well and that bumped it a little. since one 10k resistor bumped the the voltage up 0.1v will I get 3.3v if i use 3 of them with my 2.2k? If not what combination of resistors should i use to get the right voltage to make my n64 work? I have 5 2.2k, 5 10k, and 5 100k.

Based on one experiment conducted by me three years ago, it works fine on 3.0v and uses /slightly/ less power. I think the 2.2k value floating around here is the closest standard value to get that and was suggested by me.

well then i think something is wrong with my n64 then because i got somewhere between 3.2 to 3.3v (my multimeter is analog so im not exactly sure) through the 3.3v line. the light turns on but i don't get anything on the screen but i plugged my xbox into my screen and it worked fine.

powering 12v line with at least 7v?
jumper pack in?
game inserted in the forwards direction? (a concern if the slot is relocated.)
(in that case, make sure you did it right. then check every wire for shorts/breaks)
plug n64 into a tv.
Try three other games.
Try another a/v cable.
