PS1 multi disc games on dvd

i wasnt sure where this question belonged, but anyway, i m building a PS2p, and obviously i want to be able to play PS1 games on it like usual, but for games like Final Fantasy 7-9, there are like 4 discs per game, which can be rather cumbersome. i did however find this:

anyway, long story short i made one of these dvd isos for ff8, but i dont have any way to test and see if it works in an actual ps2 yet, since mine is still in the works. so i was wondering if anyone has ever tried this before, and if so, does it actually work in a ps2?? (modded of course)
