Ram question

Post by stuntpenguin007 »

I'm sure this has been asked before, but could I couldn't seem to find it.

Can you solder the ram from an expansion pack directly on top of one of the ram chips on the motherboard, and then bridge a few connections to make it think there's an expansion pack plugged in? Or would removing the 2 ram chips already on there and replacing them with two expansion pack ram chips be better?

I'd be best to just replace the chips completely.
