Hi there:
I'm interested in commissioning a project from someone.
The brief is this:
Convert two original infra-red Saturn pads (I have a few of these, and they of course have battery compartments and a slightly deeper shell) to work on Windows and (more importantly) Mac OS X 10.6 -- and also on an original Saturn if possible. I can supply a couple of pads up front. I also have two PC Magic Box Saturn>Usb adapters to take care of that part. I want to retain the look and feel of a real saturn pad as much as possible, though adding a few extra buttons on the back or front centre would be useful. Ultimately I might try to recolour the thing, as I got far too excited when I saw the photo in the middle of this thread:
http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27378" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Goes without saying, I'd want these to be super stable and lag free. I have these pads working on my Mac via PC Magic Box and the original Infra-red receivers. It's good, but just a few dropped milliseconds when I hold it at the wrong angle is frustrating me.
I have no idea how complex a job this is, but I can afford around $200 plus parts. Does that sound fair? If it's an insult, I'm really sorry. I can also throw in a Saturn Infra-red pad for you to keep.
I'm in the UK, so would be better to work with someone local, but I will accept help from anywhere.
Anyone interested?
Thanks

If you intend to use this with a mac, do you want it to emulate the Apple remote?
