After seeing Ben's awesome portable, I started checking out the forums around here and have pretty much been stalking around for about a year. However, I have finally registered and begun to build what I hope will be a successful n64 portable. It will be frankencased inside a Que! Fire external CD-RW drive (model: qps-525), powered by a 4000mAh lithium-ion battery, and will feature a 3.5" TFT LCD (from dealextreme) with a custom amp/speaker system for audio. I hope to eventually make it fully compatible, meaning it will function both as a portable and console.
Here's the case I'm planning to use.

CD-drive out of box (Came with sweet carrying case

Sides and top pop off like so... Whole case is held together with plastic tabs. Very easy to disassemble.

More disassembly...

Metal casing on right fits inside the case. In my design it will house the n64 mobo, screen board, battery assembly etc.
