wii dvd drive cable
I would b really really really thank full if someone could measure the length of the ribbon cable between the wii motherboard and slot loading dvd drive. Also could some one see if once the gameucbe connectors are removed , is that cable long enough to lie the drive down flat next to the motherboard (see where this is going ).the picture below shows the cable but i cant see whether it would be long enough once the gamecube ports are removed.

looks just short but might work if you move the gamecube ports
you could by another drive ribbon cable and solder them in the middle to extend the cable or use a Wasabi DX or drive key mod chip to make the cable longer as they both have a extra drive cable
