Michaelthurston's new N64p

Post by Michaelthurston »

Started a WIP over at MR, kinda forgot to start one here. :?

It will use a ZN-45 casing, 7400 maH Li-ion Batteries, and a 5" Zenith screen.
So far I have:
N64's
Batteries
Screen(Problem, getting another)
Casing(In the mail)

Batteries: Good
Screens killed: 1
N64's Fried: 2
Case: ~80%

Progress:
Opened N64
Tested it
Ran N64 off Batteries
Cartslot relocation DONE IT WORKS
First Screen did not work
Wired Controller
Broke LCD on 2nd Screen
Painted Case
Relocated Expansion port on Controller

Now awaiting new Screen, and new N64(looking for a RGB Rev, PM me)

Pics:

Day 2, Cartslot relocation:

Day 4, Screen testing(I cracked the LCD, new on on the way):

The case is just about hollow with everything in it. :wtf:

You can dice the six batts in half, have three on either side, Providing Weight, Making it feel more sturdier.

I am really liking this case! Though personally, I'd spray paint black over the grey sections of the controllers. Otherwise, amazing job! :)

I'm working on an N64p myself, I just don't know where to find any good cases... :(
