While trying to remove the controller ports on the N64 for the 1st and 2nd player, I accidently broke the data line that connects to pin 2 (the second pin from the right if the board is upside down) of the 1st player's controller. Is there anyway I can fix this? Or will I have to go out and buy another N64? By the way, I was inspired by your N64 projects and decided to try it myself.
Also, I'm trying to connect an N64 circuit board to a PSOne LCD screen, and while they were connected, both showed signs of power, however, there was no video when I tried using the game. can anybody help me out with that? or point me in the direction where I should look to see what I should be doing?
Sorry, I'm using a 1.8 Kohm resistor, A PTH08080WAZ chip and a 100 micro farads capacitor, what else should I get? I calculated the input voltage as 7.4V. I am also using the jumper pack which came with the N64

Re: Help!! Burned/Broke a data line
if you follow the trace, you'll find a little circular metal thingy for the middle data line. Just solder to that.
Re: Help!! Burned/Broke a data line
I can do it from the front side, right?
Re: Help!! Burned/Broke a data line
I think it's from the back
Re: Help!! Burned/Broke a data line
the small silver circle is on the backside, but when I flip it over, there is a big Square pad just opposite of where the small circle one is, so I was wondering if I could solder to that and solder to the 2nd pin from the front side?
Thanks a lot by the way.
Thanks a lot by the way.
Re: Help!! Burned/Broke a data line
I just have one more question, do you think the broken data line I described in my original post would effect the video from working?
