controller help

Post by blaze3927 »

my controller has problems, basically i flattened a capacitor to get the board inside a case yet now when i plug the controller into a working and tested n64 it says that no controller is detected. Yet if i short circuit the capacitor the analog stick doesnt work but everything else does.

ive tried swapping the cpacitor with one of close value (both 10uf yet this one 15v compared to 16) ye tthe controller isnt detected.
any ideas? could the capacitor i swapped with also be busted? use my auto ranging multimeter i can read the values for both the capacitors.

thanks
