what did i do wrong

i relocated my snes' cart slot and the wires are 2"-3" and whenever i turn it on the screen turns black like when a game isnt in good ive checked the connections multiple times and dont know whats going on the games are going the right way becuase i marked th front with a sharpie if any one can help please reply thanks

Did you 'reverse' the connections? For example the top of the motherboard mates with the bottom of the card slot etc... so are you sure pin #1 is connected on both and then going around in the same order as on the cartridge slot?
