Video chip question

Post by misjah »

Hi, is it possible to use video chips (found in sega md2 or sony psx) to convert television RGB with c-sync signal to composite or s-video? I`m thinking about cxa-1145 or simmilar.

Hey, I like your style. Part numbers up front.

I looked up the datasheet, and it looks like you found a suitable part. Except I dont think they sell them anymore.

I dunno, I cant find anywhere to buy them, or anything similar at digikey. If you can rip them out of something common then yeah, go for it.

That`s right, I ripped it off of my Sega MD2, put it somewhere so I wouldn`t loose it and now I can`t find the damn thing. :x
I want to make video out for Amiga 500 since I don`t have RF modulator expansion. With RGB is working good, crystal picture, but can`t hook it up to TV card.... Gonna try with this IC when I find it.
