I tried testing a PSX analog stick on an unnoficial N64 controller (made by performance). This is what happened when I tried using it on Goldeneye: Up and down would work but VERY slowly. Left and right wouldn't work at all.

Any idea why it didn't work? I suspect that the pots on the original controller was a different value than the PSX stick pots. Has anybody actually gotten this to work?

Whip out the multimeter and check the resistances.

You will have to find a way to increase resistance in one direction, and decrease it in the opposite direction. This would probably require opening it and changing the clay/copper track. The only other way that I can think of is if you put a comparator on the line that could determine higher/lower resistance than what it is supposed to be. This could then control whether it goes through a higher or lower resistor. This would be hard though, because as a resistor gets hotter, it's value changes.

It uses pots instead of an LED. I had posted instructions (omewhere around here) which should work, but I'm not sure.
