Need voltage help.

I've got a broken monitor I want to fix and eventually put in an Xbox 360 laptop. The power led blinks on and off continuously, and there are no fixes I can find online, just other people with the same problem. Anyways I figured it was more than likely the inverter board which I might not need...

Do most people take the 120v ac and connect it directly to the screen / inverter board, or do they get the already stepped down voltages from around the xbox somewhere and eliminate the use of an inverter board?

on the inverter board there are 10 pins that connect to the lcd screen motherboard. They are labeled...
gnd, n/f, B1 (or maybe BI), GND, 5V, GND, 12V and 3 are unlabled. what are n/f and B1?


edit: the info on the back of the screen says 100-240V, 50/60hz , 1.0A
Could The xbox 360 psu handle running the system and screen?


edit: I saw in benheck's xbox 360 laptop he seperated the power supply from the inverter. Soooo I take it that means without it, it won't be powerful enough.
