LG 160 Cellphone Help.

Hey all. I plan to use my old cell phone as a nice and easy LiPo battery/charing circuit. But I've ran in to a snag.

You see, the reason I no longer use this cell phone is because the top half has been severed from the bottom half. The only indicators of what is happening now is the blue keypad lights.

So if someone has an LG 160, aka LG LX160, aka LG LG160 (or any LG cell phone), could you please spare 5 minutes and perform the following tests?

Without pressing any buttons:

1) With the charger disconnected, insert a battery. Does it turn itself on?

2) With the battery inserted, plug in the charger. Does it turn on? Does it stay on when you remove the charger?

3) With the charger connected, insert a battery. Does it turn on? Does it stay on when you remove the charger?

I have LG 849 which is lable under the battery.

1. No

2. It turns on, but goes to the charging battery symbol
2b. no
3. I don't have a charger, but I will quess number three for you.
