Anyone know what this cart slot is for?

Picked this up at good will today..Mostly out of curiosity(Along with asteroids for the atari, too bad I cant play it I have not atari haha. How can you clean those games anyway?). So its an Eto Etch a sketch plug an play. Why it has a cart slot I have no idea, I couldn't find anything on it about it.

I think someone made a Sega Genesis portable out of it...

Sorry, yeah. :lol: I totally spaced on what the topic was even asking... It looks like an Atari cart slot... but not really? I couldn't imagine why they would have one.

I know..Why I'm totally baffled as to why its there. if it was a manufactures cartridge or way of adding something you'd think it would be inside and not visible..? Could it be an atari or something slot?

My mom bought me one of those when i was younger, Its a cart slot for the little "add-ons" It had, I know because I'm holding one of them right now o_o Pretty Useless
