How does this look for voltage?

I found a 12V 1A power cord I'm going to use in my Dreamcast project.

does this look alright for getting 12V, 5V, and 3.3V?


if this works other people could do the same thing but with 12V batteries.

edit: I got all the right voltages when plugged into the wall but when it came down to powering the dreamcast it was just too weak.

I think it's too weak, and that the dreamcast will draw too much power. You could try though, I mean, it's your life.

yeah I'll give it a shot. I just need a capacitor and 1 resistor and then I'll have all the parts to try it.

Not tested it under stress, but I got my DC working today with a 7.2v cell (at 7.8v), a 7805 (5v) and TI card at 3.25v.
