PSP Motherboard Replacement Guide

Hey guys,

I couldn't find a good tutorial out there for replacing the motherboard on my PSP. I was replacing an unhackable (TA-88v3) motherboard with a hackable one (TA-85v2). Since I couldn't find a good guide, I made one:

Technically, yes, this is on my blog, but it is relevant and useful to the BenHeck Forum community, so I don't see it as a violation of the rules (to all you moderators out there). :-)

Replacing a motherboard is a ridiculously easy repair... what "headaches" did you go through?

This "tutorial" is pretty redundant as there are various such tutorials with much better instructions and decent step by step pictures on other forums.

Also your annotated diagram below and on your "blog" is wrong, what you seem to think of as a "battery" is the right hand speaker and the middle mini ribbon cable (the right hand "lcd screen" cable) is actually another UMD connection (which you would know if you had taken your PSP apart more than this). I don't know what you found tricky about removing the left hand LCD cable,
....The smallest of the 3 LCD cables is the trickiest one, and I have yet to figure out a good method of removing it, save being very, very careful....
It is a tension latch as with the others but it locks down when the cable is passed through rather than onto the cable, it's very easy to release and much harder to get the cable threaded through properly to fix it in place.

It also puzzles me why you replaced the motherboard on this PSP when you could have just replaced the faulty parts on the other PSP a little easier. Are you going to sell the Star wars PSP with the unhackable mobo inside?
