My screen looks like this after opening it up.

the picture still shows up blurry even in a dark room, but on the right side there is a black mark. The screen seems to be sensitive around that area if you touch it, just like a laptop screen.

I think you made the same mistake as I did a couple years ago. Take the battery out, you probably put a screw into one of the hole right behind the screen, and stabbed the screw through the screen. It looks like the screw you used was just a bit too long, so you might be able to make the problem go mostly away if the screw is removed.

That didn't seem to work. I'll check it out when I add in an op-amp circuit to boost the volume of my third speaker later.

If you see marks in the metal behind the screen, it means that it was a problem with a screw.
