info on "how to" connect an HDD to a PSX

hi guys!, i'm here to ask some info on this mod.

is there a way to make an interface between a regular ide HDD and an old PSX 7501?

if it was done with the n64 then it can be done on a ps1. with older gamesharks you were able to boot stuff from external sources over the serial drive so you would basically need an epic knowledge of electronics hardware and software. you would need a third party linux device or computer to be the "go between" a hard drive and a lot of wasted effort in time before you finally got something working at a very crappy rate and decide that your years of effort were for nothing
