Battery Voltage Question

Post by Bino Gas »

Hello. I'm somewhat new to the forums here, but I hope to post something useful in the future. Anyway, I'm making Ben's handbuilt NESp from the book. The book specifies a 9.6v Ni-MH battery to power the system. I'm interested in using li-ion batteries instead, like the 7.4v one here: http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?P ... rodID=4752.

What is the minimum voltage needed to power the handbuilt NESp? Any recommended voltages?

edit: I just realized that there is a sticky all about battery voltage: http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=25867. I'm sorry for wasting anyone's time.

I'm glad you found a solution to your problem, but that is an awful battery! Get an off-brand infolithium from ebay.

Thank you, I'll look into that! At some point, I'll post a build log for my modified NESp.
