Wireless question!

All of the wireless mouse and keyboards I have had in the past have over time lost their wireless range. I have to slowly move them closer and closer to the receiver to get them to work without being choppy and unresponsive.

I was wondering if that this happens with all wireless devices. Or just low grade wireless devices. Even though it's a $80 mouse and keyboard wireless combo.
Basically it happens like recharge memory on batteries.

And no it's not the batteries running low. I've tried replacing them.

It's about 3 feet away now.

Have you gotten any more devices? Maybe you're getting interference from something you recently got. Have you tried some new alkalines to make 100% sure its not the batteries?

Yes I have made sure it's the batteries. And not really new devices. This has happened with a lot of other keyboards and mice I've had. Although they were a lot cheaper.

It doesn't happen for a while though usually a few months after I get it. And no not really getting new wireless devices.

Are these using rechargeable batteries? It could be that the batteries aren't charging to there full capacity after a couple of months (particularly if you have to recharge them a lot and have a fast charger with NiMH). I only have to move my Explorer 2.0 closer to the receiver when the batteries get low, and with a fresh set and it's back to the old distances.

It could also be interference from other places nearby (particularly if you live in an apartment complex), try changing the channel they're using.
