I just purchased an EV-670 pocket TV. This has a 3" TFT screen. Ben mentions that it can be used in his book.
The audio/video in, dc in, headphone, and brightness/volume pots are in different places on the board than in the ev-680 he uses in the book.
My question is, when hooking up the audio/video jack, Ben shows one of the leads going to a pad for the DC in jack. Do I need to do this on my 670 board? The DC jack is on the other side of my board, whereas the DC jack on the 680 Ben uses is directly under the audio/video jack.
Should I just take the jacks and solder wire leads onto them and solder the other ends of the wires to the same spots everything was connected to before I desoldered them?
How do you guys hack screens? Every board pinout will be slightly different. My biggest issue is that the book doesn't explain what we are hooking up to, it just shows pictures. Schematics would have been awesome.
