n64p battery question

my next project after my snesp (which is just about done, just a bit of finishing touches), will be a zn-45 n64. my question is, will 2 of these batteries work?

or is 9v neccesary, making 3 the minimum? price is no object here, so dont consider that in your answer.

7.4 volts will be plenty. The nintendo 64 and a psone screen can run off of that amount. But, you will need a 3.3 volt regulator if you didn't know that already.
