Probably abit of an odd question this, but I just started wondering what the original thermal pads used in the N64 were made out of and what their thermal characteristics were? I would like to know for overclocking reasons but im also just genuinely curious.
So what im wondering is, does anybody know what manufacturer Nintendo uses for their thermal pads? An actual product code number would also be great (although rather unlikely I think!)
Also, I have noticed that when removing the upper shielding/heatinks on an N64 the small square heatsinks have some sort of clear gel on them, and I wondered what that could be? Im assuming its some sort of thermal grease but its not like any I have seen used before.

P.S. In addition I would love to know what thermal pads were used in the GameCube - as it appears to be much 'gunkier' than the N64 pads so I assume they are different products but probably from the same manufacturer (I have noticed Nintendo like to stick with certain manufacturers for almost everything) I imagine they will be the same as the ones used in the Wii if that helps at all.
