101 uses for an AOL cd

Post by bicostp »

We all get them in the mail... Those shiny, silver discs offering 134677 free hours of AOL for 30 days. But what uses do they serve after the 30 days are up?

-Coasters

-Pizza cutters

-frisbees

-Microwave victims

-Clay ducks

-Toy car tires

-Zonk prizes (Let's Make a Deal", an old game show)

-Stocking stuffers for your hated ones

Any more?...

I always just stuck them on my dremmel and shot them off at high speeds.

Be warned however, they shatter into a gazillion pieces...

weapons!
Me and my friends used to take stacks of them and fight....
We'd use the paper sleeves as shields (when the big ones are folded out they'd fit over you hand and cover your entire fore arm..

CDs hurt :(

I remember when they were on floppies, where you could actually use them as disks :D

How about a wild animal hypnotizer

And they only kind of work for weapons, they always want to curve down. Floppys make a much better weapon, you can throw them accuratly and when they hit they break apart simulatiing an explosion!

Whenever I get one I just throw it on the wall and shatter it. Or even better microwave it! :D

they make great Pizza Cutters, I was so bored once, I got a Craft Knife and made really Jagged Edges, then hooked it up to a elastic band, and put a toilet roll on the elastic band that was spinnable, and the CD spinned! A homemade circular saw!

Collect 4 of them and build a car!

I saw this thing on the internet where a guy made a throne out of old AOL CDs. I'll edit my post if I find the link.

Edit: Found it. It's incredibly nice looking.
