Graduation
After trying to count the number of threads I've made, I only came up with nine.
I realized that this was a ridiculous (spelled correctly
) thread:post ratio. I've pondered for the last months many hours, yet come up with no good thread ideas
But now I just graduated 8th grade tonight and think that graduation is probably the best thread I've ever made. So, are you graduating this year? If so, how many people are in your class, and how many are graduating? Me=8 kids 6 graduating.

Re: Graduation
Who are the two dumb-asses that failed elementary school?
Over here it's illegal to fail a kid up to a certain grade.

Re: Graduation
One is a girl with minor turrets and other social issues, and the other is an indian who tries his hardest to get a 65% in every class. He may still pass because all of the teachers hate him, even though he's probably the quietest person in the schoolKurt_ wrote:Who are the two dumb-asses that failed elementary school?

Re: Graduation
There was a big "graduation" thing in grade 6 because we were going on to middle school, big whoop. I was kinda sad that I didn't get any awards, but then I learned that despite the description they are all pretty much "biggest suckup award". In any case, in science almost half the class is failing. Everybody skips or doesn't do their work. I'm passing. Oh yeah this is grade 8, people failing already. Meh.

Mmm, you had an awards night? Ours was last night. I couldn't have had better. Basketball MVP, Track MVP, every acedemic award in the school except I took second in the geobee (I spaced!XCVG wrote:There was a big "graduation" thing in grade 6 because we were going on to middle school, big whoop. Re: Graduation
Well I'm in 9th going on to 10th.
Although I dont get what you mean about how many people in your class are graduating.
But I did get Cum Laude or whatever (3.0 or higher).
Which is suprising seeing that I am doing terribly in Geometry.

Re: Graduation
I still have three more weeks of school, what is this nonsense? Anywho, I can't really fail any class at this current time. By a credits standpoint, I'm already a senior, so it looks like I'm passing the 11th grade! Oh joy
Is passing the 8th grade like an accomplishment to you people, because if you fail I guess it means your borderline retarded or literally don't have a future. If I don't put effort into anything I get my signature 86% average on everything. Every marking period my grades all average to 86% (Usually two B's and two A-'s).
An 8 student class? That's just a tad small to my 30 person to room class size, with 300 people in my class of 2010.

Re: Graduation
I'm in 10th, going into 11th.
I didn't even go to 8th grade recognition, and, from what I heard, it wasn't anything special. There was also one for fifth grade during school. Basically did nothing for most of the day
Today was Senior skip day (one of the fridays before senior last day), so there wasn't much of anybody in one of my classes. It would be weird if you were the only kid in a class not a senior, after their last day. I know somebody who will be in a class of 5 after that.
Through middle school, they pretty much don't fail anybody, unless their parents request that they fail the grade. And in high school, you don't really fail the grade, but you can fall behind in credits (by failing 5 or more classes and not doing summer school to make up the credits), which could force you to graduate late.

'Grats on the graduation, eurddrue!
I have something like two weeks left of school and I'll be going into 11th grade. Not quite graduating yet, but on my way.
