I'll start of by saying I'm new hi.
Anyway. I currently have a Gateway m-series 1625 that I am wanting to upgrade. It's current specs (that I can find) are: Processor: AMD Turion 64x2 mobile technology TL-60
Ram: 2GB
Graphics card: ATI Radeon X1270 What I am hoping to do is change the graphics card, however I have had no luck when trying to find information on this other than*It can be done* What is it that I need to get that will work with my laptop? Or am I heading down a one way road trying this.
If anyone could help me with this it would be most appreciated. Thanks
You may be able to if the GPU isn't soldered to the motherboard, and if you can find one for that specific laptop. But the X1270 is okay as long as you aren't trying to play Crysis on all-highest settings.
RAM is easy. Pop the old module out, drop the new one in. Looks like your laptop can take up to 4 gigs of laptop DDR2 (PC2-5300).

If I wanted to run Crysis I would get probably get a new laptop be easier.

You won't be able to change the graphics in your laptop. It's 99.99999% certain that everything is integrated in one board.
The last laptop I saw that you could change the graphics card in was probably some 10+ years ago and it had a docking station with half height PCI slots in.

Well that sucks, but thanks for telling me it's not possible. Guess I should invest in one soon.
