PSone screen amperage?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Does anyone know the amperage on a PSone screen?

Thanks,

The average amperage on a PSOne screen is about 890 mA plus or minus 20 or so. I noticed that if you run it on 9v, it consumes more than it would at 7.5v due to linear regulation. If modded with LED's however (which works only on a few models of motherboards) it only consumes 320 mA---much better. But again only about half of the screens out there are moddable with the short on the motherboard. I have had two in my my projects, and could neither of them worked with the mod.
If all else fails, take it apart!
