Four directional tact switch
I have this four directions tact switch http://www3.alps.com/WebObjects/catalog ... U_D_33.GIF" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
How do i connect it so it would function as the d-pad for the n64?

Re: Four directional tact switch
In my experience the easiest way to make sure it's hooked up properly is to make connections to the pins on opposite corners from each other...diagonally across
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

Re: Four directional tact switch
This is a multi-directional tact switch, they're all going to be (somewhat) different.
You need to check the datasheet for this thing if you want to know how to properly use it.

That page there has all the info you need.

Re: Four directional tact switch
I got three(?) of these awhile back.
Still got one left
Personally, I love 'em!
Feel just fine, do their job plenty well.
I think someone here (maybe LoB?) used one of these on a SNES portable.

Re: Four directional tact switch
those look like they'd be great in a multi console portable, like what bacteria did with his plug n play system
