Mistake on Ben's site?
For the CNC SNESp, it says I need only one 10 ohm resistor (http://benheck.com/snes-portable-cnc-built), but on the extremetech page for doing the LED mod to the casio EV-680, it says I need two 10 ohm resistors (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2 ... 749,00.asp). Typo?

You need two 10-ohm resistors, not just one. Put one in series with each LED. Otherwise, they degrade at different rates and start blinking.

Ok cool, I get it now. I only bought one resistor from mouser, but I'll head to radioshack for some more.
