would slot relocation be worth it?

I'm starting work on my first snesP (well I've been gather parts anyways) I've got a retro duo, and a bunch of plastic I can dremel and bondo together (still need a dremel and bondo) along with some parts I could use for the controller board.

so My question is, since I've been anticipating this for about a year and I'm only an average solderer would it be worth it to try relocate the cartridge slot or will it be O.K. if the cartridge sticks out the back?

I recommend NOT doing it on your first try. I was plenty happy having it stick out the back.

But if you feel you're capable, go wild.

well, cart slot relocation killed my retro duo, so I would say don't do it.

thanks. I guess I'll just have it stick out the back. super nintendo carts aren't that big anyways, unlike nes carts.

if anybody cares I'm ordering my lcd screen tommorrow and then when it comes I'll be ready to start my second attempt at a portable. The first one was a pal famiclone and I tried to relocate the slot to an ntsc cartridge slot but I fried it, so theres some more reason for me to have it stick out the back.
