how to do the led backlight mod?
this is my first portable. it's going to be a small portable n64 laptop(about the size of a portable dvd player) with buttons on the casing to play on the go. i can't get my hands on a PSone screen, so i bought a defective nexxtech 7 in. dvd player. i've tested it and it works on the n64. the only problem is the battery i'm using has 3000mAh and i'm not sure how much the dvd player motherboard consumes and i want to lower its power consumption as much as possible. is there a website that shows you how to do the led mod for the PSone screen? also, the dvd player motherboard has a switch on it that changes it to input mode. is there anyway i can remove the dvd player part of the motherboard? i need to make the mobo as small as possible.

How do you plan on closing the screen without the controls/joystick/etc. going right through it?
