Although I will really like to get the official playstation one screen, I am having some trouble getting hold of one, from within the uk. Seen plenty from the USA. I dont really want to go down that route as by the time I buy it. I could be paying around $80-$90. Plus shipping fees.
So does anyone know if the Logic 3 psone screen is the same as the sony version. They both got great reviews. I know the Logic 3 runs at 7.5V, and I think the sony runs at the same. No problems there. I am just wondering about the circuit board layout is the same?
So any advice you guys have will be great. So I can then get started on a psone port.

Anyway, yes Spark8e, PSone screens are not easy to get off ebay however they do come up, I have a few from that route. You want a UK one (PAL) otherwise if you get it from the USA you will get an NTSC screen which won't be useful to you unless you are working on an NTSC system (eg Retro Duo).
There are some official screens at the moment, search e-bay on "psone screen", "ps1 screen", "playstation screen" - there are about three or four on bid at the moment. Depends on your urgency to start a system, if you wait about for a few weeks you should get one for about £23-£33 unboxed, £30-£44 boxed (including postage).
The quality of PSone screens is very good, worth getting.
The Logic 3 screen you mention is PAL or NTSC (has a switch) but, as I discovered is ONLY RGB - fine if you want to do something like a PSone or GameCube (most UK models) but not pretty well anything else in UK consoles (need composite). You can mod a PAL PSone screen to take S-video if you want, but not really needed unless you do a GP2x (tv out quality is bad though, although there is a fix to help soon).
Oh, an no, the board layout is entirely different, however pinout is as per the PSone a/v output for RGB, audio and ground.
The advantage of the Logic 3 screen is it is small, the backing mobo is a similar size to the actual screen, although everything is about 2-3 times thicker than a PSone screen. I will probably use mine on a re-housed GBA tv out system (RGB).

Good, the official Sony one is a good one. As you are doing a PSone portable, you can use the Logic 3 screen (if you want to) as it is RGB, as is the PSone.
