NESp Diagram; wiring everything together (56k prolly not)

Post by wallydawg »

I based this off of Ben's Book pages 240-241. The Pinout of the Regulator is based off of Kurt_'s post here. Is this diagram correct?
Image
color code
blue: unregulated power in
green: ground
magenta: +5
yellow: video
red: audio

If by chance I have the regulator pinout backwards, what is the worst that can happen? Will it just not power up or will something blow out?

I don't see a power regulator in your picture, but aside from that it looks perfectly fine to me.

I don't think that component that you have your unregulated power going to is correct. I'm not sure that part has anything to do with the power.

Here's what I'd do with what you have. That box to the right of the switch is a regulator or something that will keep your voltage at 5V. I don't know if a 7805 will work on the 6V of battery you have or not. Forgive my crappy editing skills.
