spelling/geographic bee.

I was wondering if you guys have ever been in spelling/geographic bees. I went to state last year in geobee, and now my mom promised me a new laptop if I go to state this year in the spelling bee. I know there is another person on here who has at least went to state in one of the bees

I'm banned from the computer for the rest of my life, seriously. My dad flipped crap after I got on to post two nights ago about my fryed board. That's why I wasn't on last night. I guess this is my leaving for a long time thread...

I was in the spelling bee in 4th grade I couldnt tell what word the guy said because it was so echo-y in that small cafeteria/gym/auditorium.

Sorry to hear about your upcoming absence...

I was my class geography bee champ in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and was my school champion in 6th, 7th, and 8th. I never did well enough on the written test to go to the state level competition, however.

I wasn't so smart in geography so much as others in my grade weren't: "On what continent is the largest waterfall in the world: South America or Europe?" "Um, Europe?". (It's Angel Falls in Venezuela (South America), and no, I didn't need to look it up.)

Most that I've done was win the classroom spelling bee in 8th grade with the "word" nucleuses, which I wasn't aware was a word (and neither is Firefox's spellchecker ).
