Hi everyone I'm new here and I just got ben's book. I was wondering if someone could tell me all the tools that were nessesary for hacking video game cosoles I wanted to worry more about the hacking not the case and stuff so please include only the type of soldering iron and stuff not the dremel ( u get wat I mean)

You should use proper grammer and spelling, everybody on here will respect you more.
Soldering iron-rat shack cheapie, works. Lots of people on here reccommend weller brand though

Dremel-Dremel brand dremel tool.
sponge/water-You should have at your house.
batteries-Many people on here prefer to use battery space to buy batteries, but I buy mine off of ebay.
Screen-PSone screen. Very well documented here on the forums. You shouldn't have any problems with it.
system- your choice.

A lot of this stuff you probably have...
1. Soldering iron. The Weller WP25 seems to be good (I'm going to get one soon). Don't bother with a cheapy. They suck to use and don't last. Get a holder too.
2. Desoldering tools. Ideally you should get a solder sucker and some desoldering braid, but you can make do with just one or the other. Don't bother with a desoldering iron; you don't need one and they work only okay.
3. Dremel. Get a decent brand- Dremel of course, but Black and Decker is also good. For accessories you want some cutting discs, and one of those cutting-shield-thingies.
More stuff:
-Screwdrivers. You want Philips and slotted for sure, but gamebits are useful for Nintendo and Sega.
-wire cutters
-wire strippers
-needle-nose pliers. Don't bother with smooth ones, they suck at gripping.
-sandpaper
-hacksaw
-bondo or similar
-solder, of course
-flux may be useful
-vise or "helping hands" (I really need to get/make some)

Yeah, sorry for the spelling. I was on my iPod at the time so it was easier to shorten stuff and leave out apt of pucuation marks. Also thank you for the responce.
