Yea, I'm back. Some of the older members remember me. The annoying guy who tried on multiple occasions to make a portable and failed epically. Some updates on what went on with me while I was away...

-Started going to College
-Got Engaged
-Bought a PS3
-Bought a 360
-Got Fallout 3
-Got addicted to some animes
-Got addicted to 4chan.
-Started making AMVs
-Moved to Linux
-Built a decent computer
-Broke Wind
-Wrote a book (I am now looking for a publisher)

wlecome back. I wasn't around when you were active, but I remember your sig from reading through some old posts.

Here's some things that have recently happended around here since you left

Upgraded to phpbb3 (obviously)
cennar's back (yay)
spambots are constantly posting cell phone and ipod ads
a lot of the portables are looking nicer, especially Shock Slayer's (no offence guys, but looking back, some of the earliest portables (besides benjamin's) looked hillariously ugly.)

With time, things would defiantly look better. Are they done with vacuum forming, which I remember made some decent cases.

They're the current project of choice on the board, there's something like 5 of them being made right now, not counting ShockSlayer, who has made 8 N64Ps, 4 of those in the last 4 months. That's not exact, but it's something crazy like that.

It would be very difficult for me to make a portable living in a dorm. Soldering Irons are considered weapons (just like Fishing poles), so not allowed.

I can still design a portable though.
