Help opening 360.

I've got a falcon 360 arcade, I got the 360 opening tool, but it didn't come with the Torx 8 and 6 screws harnesser to open the Hard Drive and take off the heatsinks, Money is tight at the moment (Brought a Lian Li case for it), so I want to know if there's anything I can use as a cheap/free replacement to one of these screws?

I just opened my 360 tonight to see what was goin on in there and to remove all of the dust that accumulates after two years of use. I don't have any torx bits but I managed to get the whole shell open using the pliers on my leatherman tool. Just give the outside of the screws a good firm grip and twist. You'll feel them come loose. This only worked to get the casing's torx screws out so I could access the inside and I didn't try it on any of the dome-shaped torx screws, I can imagine it would be VERY difficult to get those puppies undone with a pliers... maybe you can get them undone using a flathead screwdriver turned diagonally, pushing it downward quite firmly, and then turning it.

EDIT: I said phillip's but I did mean flathead. Sorry!

You really should get a set of torx bits, they aren't terribly expensive and will save you lots of headaches. It's always much easier if you have the correct tool for the job. If you use a phillips on a torx screw you are very likely not going to get it out and will likely tear up the screw as it cams out to the point of no return. If you in no way shape or form can afford a torx bit use a flat blade precision screw driver that fits very tightly. You will likely bend up the screwdriver but the screw itself will stay in much better shape.

Yeah I agree with otomoton, If you cant use the correct screwdriver use a flathead they have worked much better than a philips in my experience.
