Well, the "1338" topic got closed while I was writing this... but I wanted to get my opinion on a spam board out there. I hope this is okay; I wouldn't have created a totally new topic otherwise.

Here's my two cents on the matter:

Having a randomness board, in my experience, is beneficial to forums because it gives people a place to vent, tell about random occurrences during the day, or just post for fun. Posts made in such boards don't count towards your total, and as a result, spamming of any kind is only allowed in that particular board and not elsewhere, but since you've got a place just dedicated to doing so, why would you want to do it anywhere else? I think implementing a board like this, with posts not counted and topics pruned after, say, seven days of inactivity, it could concentrate all the spamming into one spot and leave the other boards free from spamming/blogging/etc. I know it's not my decision to make, and my still being a fairly new member of the forums might make my opinion that much less meaningful, but in my humble opinion, either leaving Forum 42 as it is and adding a new board, or perhaps making Forum 42 two separate boards, each with different rules (as described above), could very well be good for us all.
