SMS II Sound problem

Post by brianwarner »

Hi,

I have recently bought a Sega Master System II, and it has great picture, but it don't play any game sound (only white noise).

I've tried to fine tune it, but can't get no sound at all!

Anyone knows what may be the problem?

Thanks!

Have you hooked up the sega to the tv through the tv aerial plug?

I've linked it to my TV through the SMS RF Lead.

Hmm, the only thing I can think of doing is trying to get audio out directly from the sega's motherboard (if the problem with the audio is happening at the "converting to RF signal" stage)

I've done this hack with my SMS2s, to get composite video out and audio (saves me trying to tune in the RF signal) http://www.smspower.org/dev/docs/wiki/H ... ideoOutput

If getting the audio directly from the motherboard doesn't work then im not sure what to do, it'd be over my head!

I don't know if I am able to do that... I am going to try it with different RF cables and with different TVs.

I'm not sure if I can do something else...
